My name is Matt Marti and I'm based in Cleburne, Texas. I have enjoyed forging since 2012. Starting out, I tried to figure it out on my own, only to realized I needed some type of education. When looking for classes, I heard about a man named Brian Brazeal. He offered private forging classes in Mississippi. After looking into what he made, I decided it was the spot to learn.
In the summer of 2014, I spent 6 days with him going through his "Tools To Make Tools" course. That course has set so many on a strong path in forging, including me. With my new-found knowledge and my own set of tools, I flew back home. From there it was time to practice what I learned, in my own shop. It took a good year and a half to develop what I learned into a business.
Currently, I am specializing in hammers used by farriers and blacksmiths.
